Privacy Policy

1. Zero Data Collection Philosophy

Your privacy is our absolute priority. The EchoMap application was designed around a fundamental principle: we do not collect, process, or transmit any personal data to our own servers.

2. Storage and Synchronization (Apple iCloud)

All your data (geographical locations, photos, audio recordings, and text notes) is stored locally on your device. If synchronization is enabled, your memories are securely encrypted and backed up exclusively via your private Apple iCloud (CloudKit) account.

The EchoMap developers and any third-party entities have no technical or administrative access to this data. You are the sole owner and guardian of your memories.

3. Location and Camera Access

EchoMap requires access to your GPS location to accurately tag your memories (the "Zero Fake" feature). Camera and microphone access is used only when you trigger a capture. These data streams never leave your device, except when syncing to your own iCloud.

4. Analytics and Crash Reporting

EchoMap does not integrate any tracking or behavioral analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.). The only crash reports are those collected anonymously by Apple's services (App Store Connect), provided you have explicitly opted in to share this information with developers in your iPhone settings.

5. Modifications

If our "Zero Data" philosophy ever evolves to offer new features (such as a shared cloud), this policy will be updated and your explicit consent will be required.
